AhwahneeAhwahnee Head

Ahwahnee is a 10 week old, very handsome, mostly black male, with some tan on his legs and underside. He came to us through a shelter, along with siblings, and we're told he had possibly gotten into rat poison. The prior owner didn't want to spend the money to take them to a vet so the litter landed in a shelter. He is on a Vitamin K treatment and has shown no signs that suggest he was poisoned.

Ahwahnee is an affectionate, happy puppy and is living in a foster home with his sister Hilton, three adult German Shepherds and cats. Ahwahnee is mellow for a puppy and doesn't fuss much.

He and his sister wake up once or twice during the night. Once they've relieved themselves, they come back in and sleep for a total of 8-9 hours. He is just starting to chew on things nearby, ie., shoelaces, ends of jackets, etc., but can be distracted and redirected with a toy, a ball or food. He a met a 10 lb. dog recently and found she was just the right size to play with and tackle.

A home with another dog would be best for this boy who loves to follow the other dogs around the yard. The new owner must be patient to teach house manners, house training and all the other basics that come with owning a puppy that will grow up to be big dog soon.

Ahwahnee will be spayed on 4/6 and then be available for a new home.

Interested adopters must read and meet all puppy requirements and complete an adoption questionnaire and puppy questionnaire.
