Arwen

Arwen is a 5 month old female German Shepherd mix puppy, possibly mixed with Anatolian Shepherd. She was an unclaimed stray from Modesto, so we know nothing of her background. She has huge paws and looks like she is going to be a fairly big girl, and has a determined streak, also much like an Anatolian.

Typical of puppies, she loves to play rough and tumble with the bigger dogs in her foster home. She is very curious and outgoing, and does well with dog-savvy cats. She loves the water and takes advantage of any sort even if it's just a water bowl or an ice cube.

Arwen is very intelligent and learns quickly. She's already crate-trained and working on her potty training. She knows basic commands and is learning to walk on a leash over her determined protests. She rides great in the car but she still needs to be picked up and convinced to get in. She loves chewing on her bones and her toys and if not watched closely, she really likes pillows and socks, too.

She will need an owner who is experienced raising big, strong and very determined young dogs to turn them into model citizens.
