BahamaBahama Head

Bahama is a one year old, handsome male. He weighs approximately 80 lbs, but could stand to put on some weight so his body can match his huge feet. He came as a stray from an Oakdale shelter so nothing is known about his background.

Flystrike on both ears and Bahama's behavior suggest he was primarily an outdoor dog. He resists getting into a car, then has to be strongly encouraged to get out. He also seemed afraid of the scale at the vet's office. He generally acts insecure inside. When outside off leash in the yard, this boy acts like a typical young dog, exploring and wanting to play with the other German Shepherds in his foster home. He had no problems being introduced to four large German Shepherds ranging in age from 18 mos to 8 years old. He put his paws in the fountain to cool off and also in the large tub of drinking water. This boy would probably love trips to the lake or other water areas. More will be posted when he's been in foster care for a longer period.

Bahama will need to learn house manners and all commands. He is very people oriented and should be easy to train. His forever home will need to commit to his training, socialization, getting him used to car rides, and of course exercise.

Cats and small critters unkown.

This is a Level 2 Dog!
