BaronBaron Head

Baron is a large gorgeous black and red boy. At 15 months he already weighs 100 lbs. He was an owner surrender to a vet to be euthanized after he allegedly growled at a child at a park/dog park (no adults witnessed this interaction). The vet talked the owner into allowing them to place him. After a couple days of watching him interact with people, dogs and other animals, they called us to see if we could rescue him.

In his foster home, Baron lives with an older female shepherd. He just follows her around, and wants to do what she does, and be where she is. This boy is definitely a follower, and not a leader.

He seems to be house broken, and sleeps on a dog bed in the bedroom quietly at night. He is not quite sure about the pool in the yard, and just whines and cries when his foster sister goes in to chase a ball or swim with her dad. He also rides nicely in the car.

So far Baron has greeted the adults and children he has met appropriately, but care with small children would need to be taken as Baron has no clue how big he is. Supervision with all children would be needed given the alleged incident with his previous owner. At the vet he ignored the cats in cages, so he may be able to live with a dog savy cat with careful and proper introductions.

Baron hasn't had much in the way of training, but is eager to learn. He would like a home with another confident dog, and a family that will continue his socialization and training.

This is a Level 2 Dog
