BetziBetzi Head

Betzi is an 18 - 24 month old female out of Modesto Shelter. She was an unclaimed stray, so nothing is known of her background. She appears to have lived a fairly sheltered life, likely left in a backyard, and not taken out much in the big world. When presented with new circumstances she may default to barking at the new "unknown". She weights around 75 pounds and has a soft, slightly longer coat. She also will flash the biggest brown eyes at you whenever she is near.

Betzi would like the life of a house princess, and would prefer a home with a pool, or frequent trips to the lake or river to splash and swim. She has liked most people she has met, but does need a slow introduction, and doesn't respond well to strangers rushing up to her. When she is a little uncomfortable, she will look to her person for direction and to hold her paw.

Betzi walks fairly well on leash, comes when she is called, and appears housebroken. She sleeps quietly in her crate all night. She does not appear to have much prey drive and could possibly live with a dog-savey cat. Betzi is currently in a home with 6 other dogs, and is learning proper dog manners and how to play with other dogs.

Continued training on manners and basic commands would be needed, as well as continued socialization outside of the home setting, to reach her full potential.
