Blake is a loveable, biscuit-colored 6-7 month old male puppy. He is housebroken and generally well-mannered in the house. He chews mostly on his own toys and rarely gets into trouble in the house (although he's not quite tall enough to counter-surf yet). He quietly sleeps in a crate at night but prefers to be an early riser. Outside he loves to dig and to play in his water bowl.
He is curious about cats and loves to chase balls, so he'll need a little in-house training to successfully live with one.
He loves other dogs but has become quite bossy when it comes to toys and food. He needs a dog playmate that won't be a pushover and an owner that will teach him that it's not polite to take toys or protect food bowls.
He is a smart boy - learning basic obedience, to walk politely on leash, and to sit before his dinner or going outside. He is already showing a protective side by barking at strangers, so he'll need a home that will continue his training and be a strong pack leader to prevent him from becoming a nuisance barker.
As with most German Shepherd puppies, he will need a lot of public outings and meeting new people and new things. The work that is put into raising him now will create a well-behaved family pet to be proud of.
