CadenceCadence Head

Cadence is a handsome, black and red 1.5-2 year old male weighing in at about 75 lbs. He was an unclaimed stray from a Sacramento area shelter, so nothing is known of his background.

Cadence is learning to get along in his foster home, at first he was a little unsure of meeting new dogs, but usually given a proper introduction, and a couple minutes to warm up, he does fine. He enjoys playing with both the less dominant males and females dogs in his foster home, although will challenge another dominant male. Cadence should probably be the only male dog in his home. Once he gets to know you, Cadence loves getting attention and being around his people, and so far has been good with adults and older well-behaved children. He is probably too intense for small children.

Cadence is housebroken, rides nicely in the car, and sleeps quietly in a crate at night. His leash behavior improving, as are his house manners. He will sit and lie down, but he is working on learning boundaries, and listening. Cadence shows some signs of being allowed to fence fight and chace other dogs on the other side of a barrier, so will need a home that can control that behavior. Cadence shows a little too much interest in the outdoor cat in his foster home, and seems to focus in on small dogs out in public, so no cats or small dogs or other critters for this young man.

Cadence needs a home that will include him as part of the family, set boundaries for him, and continue his socialization and training so he can become the awesome dog we know he can be.

NO CATS OR SMALL FURRY CRITTERS.

This is a Level 2 Dog
