Callen

Callen is an adorable 10 month old black and tan shepherd. He was a owner surrender from the Sacramento SPCA, and was surrendered for being destructive. He apparently likes eating hoses and sprinklers, and doing a little digging when left outside all day by himself.

Callen is a charming pup that although he has not been particularly well socialized, seems to like all of the people and dogs he has met so far. Don't let his charm fool you though, he is quite the determined teenager at times. He is new to our program, and is still mouthy and learning house manners. He needs a experienced owner that will be consistent in teaching him appropriate behavior and turning him into the gem of a dog we know he can be.

Callen loves playing with other dogs. He is housebroken and walks fairly well on leash. He is crate trained and rides well in the car.

Callen would like a home that includes him in daily activities, and continues his socialization and training. He would also like a dog-buddy of similar size to hang out with. When fostered together, Deeks was his best buddy.
