Dicarra is a 2-3 year old, petite, kissy, bi-color girl. She was an unclaimed stray from Modesto Shelter, so nothing is known of her background. It appears as if she has had a least 1 litter of puppies in her young life.
Dicarra is currently in a foster home with 7 other dogs, and gets along with all of them. She is currently being fostered in a rural ranch home, and has shown little to no interest in the resident goat, but will chase a stray cat if given the chance. She will gravitate to the younger, playful dogs, and initiate a good game of "catch me if you can". She is a very busy, medium energy girl, that will need daily exercise. After some play time outside, she settles on her dog bed in the house and takes a nap.
Dicarra is crate trained and housebroken. She sleeps quietly in her crate at night next to her foster's bed. She shows a little interest in playing fetch, but quickly gets distracted and looks for the next activity to do.
Dicarra has a great recall, and stays close to her foster while out on long walks, or jogging along side the ATV. She eagerly jumps in the truck for a trip to town and rides nicely in the vehicle for lengthy trips.
The ideal home would be one with at least 1 other playful dog of similar size, and an active family that would include her in daily activities. She would not likely be suitable in a home with a cat or a very small dog.
