Fanta is a lovely female around 2 years old. She has pretty brown eyes, a very sweet expression, and a rusty black and tan coat. She was an unclaimed stray from Modesto, but appears to have been a house pet in her past life.
This young lady is quite the House Princess. She has very good house manners, and other than trying to get on the furniture once or twice, you'd never know she was there. She loves being in the house, lying on the softest dogbed, and chewing on a dog bone or playing with a dog toy. She'll prance around carrying a ball, or go find a dog bone and happily bring it along to chew on while lying next to her person. She's affectionate without being clingy or sloppy.
Fanta is quiet and low energy, except when she's in a hurry to get back in the house. She's very willing to do as she is asked, knows how to Sit politely for her dinner, and knows what all well-mannered dogs know. Her one vice is that she was allowed to paw at people for attention and she is still learning that it's not acceptable.
She can be quite the bossy girl with other dogs, however. She won't tolerate any rudeness and is quick to discipline a pushy dog. She tends to want to hoard her toys or bones and could easily turn into a resource-guarder if she were allowed. She is fine with dogs who respect her space or ignore her, but no pushy brutes or high energy youngsters for this girl. She also has significant prey drive towards cats.
Fanta is looking for a low energy household where she can be a House Princess once again. She probably would be happy as a single dog. She's a very well-mannered and undemanding companion.
