Iza is a very sweet 8-9 year old female. She was surrendered to a local shelter with a severe wound on her foot that her family could not afford to treat. For awhile we were afraid Iza would lose her foot, but this girl is a trooper with all of her wound care. Her foot is almost fully healed, so she will soon be starting nightly walks; the little girl could stand to lose a few pounds.
Iza was previously an outdoor dog, but has learned that indoor life is quite nice. She is trustworthy in the house during the workday with access to the outside. Iza gets a little huffy with new dog introductions, but settles after a couple minutes and accepts them. She gets along well with all of her foster brothers and sisters.
Iza loves being with her humans. She likes to be in the same room with them, or doing yard work with them. She also likes to go on car rides and doesn't like being excluded from family activities.
Iza would make a great companion for someone who is home most of the time. She is an easygoing girl that would love a home that includes her in daily activities and gets her in an exercise routine.
Unknown with cats.
