JuniperJuniper Head

Juniper is an approximately two year old female who was turned in to a Placer County Shelter by her owner "because she attacked a small dog." At the shelter she was reactive to other dogs while she was in her kennel, but now in a foster home, after a proper introduction, she plays with all the male dogs her size and larger appropriately.

Juniper is very sweet and friendly with every person she has met thus far, and will roll over and give her belly to just about anyone. She is pretty good at settling in the house in the evenings. She seems to know Sit and Down, and walks on the leash pretty well, but she does still jump up. She enjoys "swimming" in the her plastic baby pool. Juniper sleeps quietly in her crate all night, is housebroken, and she enjoys riding in the car, and will jump right in to go with you.

Juniper should not go to a home with other female dogs. Her first reaction to a new dog is to grumble a little bit, but will warm up to a a male dog after a few minutes. She has high prey drive and views small dogs or cats as potential snacks, so no small dogs, cats or other small furry critters for this girl.

Juniper will need an experienced owner who understands leadership, boundaries and training, as she needs continued socialization and improvement regarding her first interatctions with other dogs.

NO CATS, SMALL DOGS or CRITTERS.

This is a Level 3 Dog. Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires.
