KaylaKayla Head

Kalya is an energetic 7 month old black and tan female. She was an owner surrender to a Sacramento area shelter when her owners could no longer care for her. During the day, this girl likes to play, play, play, but in the evening is actually fairly good at settling down. Her previous owners kept her inside most of the time, so unlike most dogs that come into our rescue, she is very familiar with the house, but not so much with the yard and the outside. Kayla is figuring out that a yard with another dog in it is great fun.

Kayla is housebroken and sleeps nicely in a crate at night. She has gotten along with all of the male and female large dogs in her foster home so far. She is very friendly with people, and is learning that jumping up is unacceptable. Kayla is a little hand shy at first, and is learning that it is a positive thing to come when you are called, but more work will be needed in this area. Kayla also needs some more leash work, as she doesn't seem to have been on one much, but is learning quickly.

Kayla would like a family that will include her in daily activities, and will continue her training and socialization. She would prefer a play buddy that will tolerate her energy level. It is unknown how she is with cats and other small furry critters.

This is a Level 2 Dog
