LennyLenny Head

Lenny is a 11-12 month old male Black Shepherd weighing about 65 lbs. He was picked up as a stray in Placer County so nothing is known of his background.

He seems to get along well with dogs; he plays rough with the energetic large dogs but adjusts his play for the resident German Shepherd puppy. He may be too rough for small breed dogs, however. He is also too young and energetic to go to a home with small children.

He sleeps quietly in his crate all night, uses the dog-door, and does well in the car and on a leash. If he gets bored, he will find something to chew, as will most dogs his age. He is working on house manners, but he is a typical adolescent and still needs supervision.

He enjoys splashing and playing in the doggie-pool with his foster brother and would be the perfect dog for outdoor adventures. Continued training, exercise and socialization will be needed for this young active boy. An active household, possibly someone looking for a jogging partner, who will make him part of the family would be the best fit for this happy-go-lucky guy. An energetic canine pal would be a plus as well!

No cats or small critters!

This is a Level 3 Dog. Please be sure you understand what a dog of this Level requires.
