Melia

Melia is a happy-go-lucky, 15-month old female. Her owners had to give her up due to health issues. While Melia hasn't been widely socialized, this sweet girl is a little timid at first, but warms up quickly.

She doesn't seem to have a lot of experience in a house as stairs, the hair dryer, shower and vacuum were all new to her, but she seems to be housebroken, and is learning that the furniture is off limits. While Melia has no formal training, she is easy to walk on leash and rides nicely in the car. She is quickly learning sit and down, and slowly learning to keep all four paws on the ground. Crate training is a work in progress, as Melia does not like getting into the crate, but settles down quickly once inside. Melia has gotten along with all of the dogs and humans she has been introduced to so far, and only has mild interest in the resident cat.
