Miko is a handsome, four year old black and tan boy weighing about 65 lbs. He was adopted a year ago, but returned when the older couple who adopted him felt they couldn't manage him any longer. His original foster home had another female German Shepherd with whom Miko got along with. He was originally a stray from a Modesto area shelter, so we have no other background on him.
Miko is housebroken, but so far is afraid to use a dog door. He seems anxious in new situations, but is very affectionate and loves a good belly rub. Miko has moderate energy, but does get playful with a good game of fetch. He met a calm, respectful male German Shepherd and seemed to enjoy his company. He also met some young female German Shepherds and loved playing with them. A home with another playful medium to large dog would be preferred for Miko. His style of play is rough however, so small dogs are not recommended.
He walks fairly well on a leash, but he would benefit from further training and socialization.
No cats and small critters.
