SENIOR

Missy is a gorgeous black and tan female, about 75 pounds, who was surrendered to a Sacramento area shelter by a relative when her owner died.

Approximately eight or nine years old, Missy is older than we first thought, and is starting to show her age a bit. Although she is very alert, her activty level is slowing a little, and she spends a little more of her day sleeping. She is still very excited to go on a walk, but 20-30 minutes a day is plenty for her.

Sweet and affectionate, this house princess likes to live in comfort enjoying time with her people or looking out the window. She is learning that the sofa is not her personal bed. Missy doesn't seem to have much in the way of formal training, but is easy to have in the house.

Missy has gotten along with all of the male and female dogs in her foster home so far. She has enjoyed meeting adults, and is respectful to older children, but doesn't seem to have much tolerance for toddlers or very young children. Missy shows substantial interest in the outdoor cat at her foster home, so no small furry critters for this girl.
