Velvet

Velvet is a beautiful, medium-sized, all black young lady about 18 months old. Velvet and her six 4-week old male pups were abandoned at a heavy equipment yard in Turlock in the middle of the night, and found by the employees the next morning. They were taken to the Turlock Shelter and released to us as unclaimed strays.
 
Velvet is an energetic girl, affectionate and eager to please. She loves to play, and wants to be where the action is. She's very intense around a ball of any sort and will play fetch for hours. She is housebroken and still learning house manners, knows Sit, Out (go outside), and walks well on lead.

Velvet gets along well with other dogs, is interested in cats but not aggressive, and she appears to be used to children of all sizes. She needs an active home and someone who can work with her need to "do something," which preferably involves a ball.
