This BEAUTIFUL 18 month old purebred German Shepherd needs a loving "forever family!!!! She is super smart and knows tons of commands but needs firm, confident leadership to maximize her potential (which I believe to be infinite). She does have visible anxiety. She jumps on people when she first sees them and mouths a lot.
Sadly, she was very bonded to her previous family. She was raised in a home with 3 children, ages one-year-old to 10-year-old. She loves kids and is a great playmate. She passed all my child safety tests.
She likes to play with other dogs. She is very cat reactive....NO CATS! She should be placed in a home that has the time to allow her some good exercise daily (as a tired dog is a good dog). Whether it's chasing kids around the yard or the kids chasing her, or a run with mom or dad, she needs to get that energy out!
A home with school aged kids would be ideal. And a family that has owned and raise German Shepherds in the past would be optimal. She needs someone who is patient, while she is still a puppy at 18 months, she's got another six months to a year before she settles down and is not so rowdy. She has a great deal of potential and is very sweet, just so active!!!
She is housebroken! Hasn't had one accident in the house. She is good in the crate as well. She has just been spayed and made current on vaccines.
I am fostering her in Reno but I've got a full house with my own 2 GSD, a cat and 4 small kids, or I'd love to keep her.
A Rehoming fee is necessary ($250) as our local "low cost spay and neuter clinic" is only for Pit Bulls at this time so the vet costs exceeded $450.
