Jack is a 7 to 8 year old boy who came from a local shelter. He was picked up as a stray so nothing is known of his background. Despite technically being a “senior” dog, there is nothing ” senoir” about him aside from a few gray hairs around his muzzle. He is an energized boy, always ready for a run, walk, car ride, or just about any activity with his person. He has a tendency to pull like a freight train on the leash, so the use of a prong collar will make walking him much more enjoyable.
Jack has a great recall, and know how to sit to get anything he wants. He will play ball, and LOVES to swim. If there is a puddle or lake or bucket of water around, he will find it.
Jack is housebroken and crate trained, and sleeps in one all night. He is currently residing on a ranch with several other large dogs and gets along with everyone he has met so far. He does like to chase the wild rabbits around the ranch, so probably no cats or other small critters for this boy. He could easily be an only dog in a household, as he enjoys being with his person, and doesn’t rely upon other dogs for contentment. Jack is affectio ate and loves being brushed and groomed. He also loves his rolls in the grass, and will sing his enjoyment of the activity Every. Single. Time.
Jack could be described as the “class clown” with his zest for life and silly antics. He is looking for a home that is active, and one where he is with his family most of the time. He could benefit from some training to brush up on basic commands, and is eager to learn and please his person. He is also food and treat motivated, so training should be fairly easy.
If you are looking for an energetic adventurous partner, that will make you smile, Jack is your dog!
