Hanzy

Hanzy is a 3 yo Black and Tan male Shepherd weighing in at a solid 90 pounds. He’s as stunning as he is charismatic with his stout masculine features that draws attention from many admirers. Although his past is unknown to us, it is apparent that he is accustomed to the comforts of an indoor life by falling right into place in the home setting.

In the company of other dogs, Hanzy exudes quiet confidence. He accommodates a wide range of personalities but seems to have heightened discretion with unaltered males. He currently shares his residence with two rambunctious co-fosters (see Cadence and Harley) and is quite malleable to each of their play styles, engaging in frequent bouts of play or chase. When he has had his fill, he will readily take a break to come indoors and rest calmly in a quiet corner. He does well sharing toys and Nyla bones and gladly lays among the pack on his own dog bed enjoying his chew time. When it comes to meals or treats, Hanzy will wait patiently for his turn with quiet anticipation. This guy is a gentleman who displays pleasing and proper etiquette.

Hanzy has very few needs and demands. As with many of our Shepherds, his primary treasure is sharing the company of his people. He will readily accept all pets and belly rubs that come his way, and he will pause like a statue as he welcomes your affection. If you are busy, he will quietly chill in close proximity without a peep. When left alone, Hanzy may initially try and search for his people until he adjusts to the household routine. Thus, secure containment is necessary until he learns he will reunite with his familiar family pack.

Hanzy is eager for his daily walks where he overlooks common triggers along the way. He will gladly join in on car adventures where he will lay quietly during the ride. He is housebroken and sleeps calmly in a crate at night. This guy is a rock solid companion who exhibits the classic Shepherd trademarks that make this a phenomenal breed.
