Misty Dawn is yet another frosty faced sweetheart who is just looking for a comfortable home to spend her remaining years. She is estimated to be around 9 years young, and is a big girl, weighing in at just under 100 pounds.
This sweet girl appears to have had a rough life – She came to us with one cauliflower ear from untreated ear infections, and she has rough patches on her elbows from laying on concrete. Indoor living seemed new to her, as household noises and activity were foreign to her. She has quickly adapted to indoor living and uses a doggie door. She will sit quietly in her crate at adoption days, but she isn’t a fan of the crate at home.
Since she has shown she is trustworthy in the house, she sleeps on a dog bed next to her foster mom’s bed. She is also left at home with the other 3 German Shepherds in the home when her foster mom is at work and just patiently naps and awaits her foster mom’s return. No puppy antics with this girl- she’s a lady through and through! She is currently very attached to her foster mom and is never too far behind. She gets along with her other pack mates but doesn’t interact with them much – she prefers the company of her human. She also ignores the resident feline, so she could possibly live with dog-savvy cats. She has a submissive nature and is on the shy side but also has bursts of spunk where she will try to get your attention with a little poke and love nip. She loves an opportunity to ride in the car and behaves nicely on outings- the groomer described her as an easy girl to care for. Misty is easy to please and would love a home to call her own to show her all the joys she’s been missing her whole life!
